Library Card

    Any family may apply for a library card to check out materials from the Ford City Library.  All members of the family who are entitled to check out materials will be listed on the card.  Come into the Library to request a card.

Overdue Policy

    Patrons with outstanding overdue items may not check out additional materials.  The card in the pocket of the book shows the date due and it is the user's responsibility to return materials on or before that date. 

    A service charge (fine) will be charged for all overdue materials.

Replacement

    Users are legally responsible (K.S.A. 21-3702) for materials checked out to them including paying for materials that are lost or damaged.

Video Policy

    The majority of videos owned by the Ford Public Library are protected by copyright for HOME USE ONLY.

    Children must have their parents permission to check out videos.  Only two videos may be checked out at one time.  A service charge will be charged on overdue videos.

Interlibrary Loan

    Patrons may request materials not available in the Ford Public Library through Interlibrary Loan.  Materials must be returned within the time the lending library designates.  The borrower agrees to pay the lending library for any loss or damage that occurs to the borrowed material.

    There is no charge for Interlibrary Loan but donations to defray postage costs will be accepted with appreciation.
