1955 by Charles and Letha Stults, known as out oldest business
which had been in continuous operation since being established Aug.
14, 1908 and sold to Clark County Clipper in 1972. |

The William-Mills Lumber
Company - building was constructed in 1919 then sold to T. M. Deal
in1927 and Minneola Coop in 1974. The building was closed completely
in 1984. |

Overland Car - The 1912
right hand drive Overland car owned by the late Dr. J. W. Van
Blaricum who located in Minneola in 1910 and was a dedicated doctor
until his death in 1944. |

The First State Bank -
opened in 1903 and was owned by Arthur P Reese. The windmill and
watering tank were put in about the same time and were used to water
horses. The dipper was handy for people needing a drink. The
windmill was purchased by E. E. Barnhart in 1917. |

Kansas State Block - In
1887, most of the houses had been moved from Appleton to Minneola.
Joined by the state flower and bird, this block reflects Minneola's
location within the state at the intersection of Highways 54 and 283 |

Livery Barn - Built in 1917
by L. S. Wood. This was not the first livery barn built in Minneola.
In 1920, several business men renter the building and converted it
to a basketball court. It was later moved to the Willis Bolinger
ranch south of town. |

Sarah Ferguson Birth Place -
A replica of the sod house built by William Schul in 1887. Sarah was
born in the soddie in 1892, as well as four other brothers and
sisters. In May 1902, the sod house was demolished by a tornado. |

Minneola Coop Elevator -
Built in 1913 and was known as Minneola Local Union. On May 8, 1915,
it was changed to the Minneola Cooperative Exchange. After 49 years
in operation, the owners felt it had completed filling its purpose
and sold it to Roy Irons. |

Statton House - Built in
1908 by Arthur Statton, and was a very elegant building.It was torn
down in 1941. (Louise spent 63 hours on the
handwork in this block) |

Scout House - Built in 1935
by WPA labor. In 1933 the late Max Granke did a bas-relief in stone
of George Washington. It is set in the south gable end of the
building. The Library used this building for a number of years. |

Rock Island Depot - In February
1887 the railroad was completed through Minneola. This two story
depot was built about the same time. The original color was red and
later the Rock Island changed the color to a yellow gold. The agent
had living quarters upstairs. It was made into a one-story building
in 1945. |

School House - Built in 1914
and having one senior graduate from it in 1915. The last seniors
graduated in 1930. The building then became a grade school until
1956 and was torn down in 1959. (Linda spent 80
hours on hand work to make this block.) |

Clute Hall - The hall was
built in 1887 and was known then as the Easton Building. The
upstairs housed the first school in Minneola. It was used a a
community hall and many businesses opened and closed on the first
floor. Later the Odd Fellows bought the hall and many lodges used
the top floor for their meeting rooms. It was torn down in 1948. |
